We are thankful we have been able to worship together more freely over the summer and value spending time together safely as the Body of Christ.
Recently the provincial government has mandated mask wearing again in indoor public places and will be requiring full vaccination for access to some social settings. While churches are exempt from this mandate we feel it is important for us to do all we can to promote the safety and peace of mind of our church family.
With the Covid numbers still going up in BC, we want to keep NACC a safe place for everyone so we can continue to meet in person. In light of this, we ask everyone attending in person services to wear masks effective immediately. Those leading the service are also being asked to wear masks as much as possible. We will continue to follow directions from the BC Centre for Disease Control and encourage everyone to be vaccinated, and please stay home if you are feeling unwell and join us via Zoom.
These are challenging times, and we recognize that it may be difficult to go back to wearing masks, so we encourage our church family to remember I Corinthians 10:23-24 and rather than seek our own good, let's focus on the good of others and what's best for the larger community. It's not about what's allowed, and we might not like this, but it's an attempt to move forward. As Dr. Bonnie Henry reminds us, it's not forever, just for now. NACC is a very supportive community, and we trust that we will get through this together with God's help and for His glory.
Please talk to any member of the team if you have any questions or concerns.
“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others" (1 Corinthians 10:23-24).
